Radiation Control Board

As a result of the passage of S.B. 21 during the 2012 General Session of the Utah Legislature, the following summary outlines the changes to the Radiation Control Board that take effect on May 8, 2012.
The Utah Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) encourages qualified members who are interested to apply for a term on the Radiation Control Board (RCB).
When the necessary changes to the Web page are complete, interested individuals can apply on line at: http://www.governor.utah.gov/boards/home.html. A subsequent notice will be posted when applications can be completed online.
The Radiation Control Board is appointed by the Utah Governor with the consent of the Utah Senate and guides development of Radiation Control policy and rules in the state. The Utah Radiation Control Board holds open meetings ten times per year at locations throughout the state. Contact Rusty Lundberg, Executive Secretary, at 801-536-4250, regarding agenda items.
